  • Be resident in England and live in a postcode area that is eligible for funding
  • Learners must be aged 19 years or over as of the current academic year
  • Have a Full Level 2 qualification if aged 19-23 (subject to a ULN check being undertaken)
  • Have lived in the EU for the last three years
  • Who is it for?

This qualification aims to develop the learner's knowledge and understanding of:

    - various common health conditions
    - monitoring the health of individuals affected by health conditions.

The purpose of this qualification is to give learners currently working in, or intending to work in, adult health and social care an awareness of a range of common health conditions. Learners may then progress to additional qualifications to gain a more in-depth understanding of specific health conditions. It will particularly appeal to individuals who have a professional or personal interest in arthritis care, stroke, dementia, Parkinson's disease and sensory loss awareness. It will also appeal to organisations within the health and social care sector that provide support to individuals with conditions such as these. It has relevance to all types of health-care settings, including care homes, hospitals and domiciliary care.

Learners should be aged 19 or above to undertake this qualification.
