Revision Resources

Revision Resources for A Level & Vocational Art students

The Revision and Practice Journey Plan

Plan Your Revision

  • Make a revision timetable to build good habits.
  • Share it with friends or family so they can help you stick to it.
  • Planning reduces stress because you can see exactly how you’ll cover everything in time.
  • Spread your revision out – this makes it more effective.

The Revision and Practice Journey Track

Track Your Progress

  • Use a tracker sheet with all your topics listed.
  • Colour code it: highlight tricky topics so you
    know what to revisit.
  • Seeing progress gives you a confidence boost.
  • Share your tracker with friends or family
    for extra motivation.

The Revision and Practice Journey Recall

Recall, Don’t Just Read

  • Recalling information (without looking at notes) strengthens memory.
  • Space out recall: daily, weekly, and monthly for long-term memory.
  • Struggling is normal – it means your brain is working!
  • Tip: Cover your notes and explain the topic out loud.

The Revision and Practice Journey Use

Practise Skills

  • Exams need knowledge AND skills.
  • Use practice questions:
    • Try them first
    • Check answers with the mark scheme
    • Add new learning to your notes in a different colour
  • Struggling with questions is part of learning – keep going!
  • Use practice tasks where your assessment
  • has a practical element, practice applying your knowledge and repeating the skill until it comes naturally.
