The purpose of this qualification is to equip learners with the knowledge of different Specific Learning Difficulties, how they are diagnosed and how individuals are supported.

The qualification can be used by a wide range of learners looking to improve their knowledge and awareness in this subject area, including those working within healthcare, social care and education contexts.

The qualification is also suitable for teaching staff, care staff, or anyone looking to build their knowledge of dyslexia and other learning difficulties.

There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this programme, although the qualification is designed for those currently employed in a relevant role.  Good numeracy and literacy skills are advantageous.

The course comprises the following 5 Mandatory Units.

Section 1:  Understand Specific Learning Difficulties

Section 2:  Understand the effects of Specific Learning Difficulties

Workbook 2

Section 1:  Understand the diagnosis of Specific Learning Difficulties

Section 2:  Understand supporting individuals with Specific Learning Difficulties

Section 3:  Understand the context of Specific Learning Difficulties

To pass this qualification, learners are required to complete 2 formal Assessments submitted to us for marking.
