The Level 2 T Level Foundation Programme in Early Years Practitioner is a 16-19 study programme designed to develop the chosen sector's skills, experience, knowledge and behaviours to support progression and employment.
Students can expect to:
• Gain an accredited Level 2 Diploma
• Gain a licence to practice as a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner
• Learn technical knowledge and practical skills
• Gain relevant industry work experience
• Develop industry-relevant English and maths skills, as well as digital skills
• Continue working towards achieving a GCSE grade 4 in English and/or Maths if students do not already have this
• Receive an informative and helpful course handbook
This Level 2 course provides students with an exciting opportunity to begin their career in the early years sector. Students will gain the knowledge and skills needed to care for and work with babies and young children from 0-7 years of age, with practical experience in the early years (0-5 years). Students will undertake a minimum of 250 hours in placement.

Entry Requirements
Grade 4 English, Grade 3 Maths and at least four other GCSEs at Grade 3 or above. All students will have an enhanced DBS check through the college.

How is the course assessed?
Students will be assessed through reports, reflective accounts, presentations, activity plans, displays, placement observations, case studies, story sacks, and annotating policies.

Additional Notes
We invite nursery children into college for 'Ugly Bugs Ball', Festive Parties, and Brilliant Bubbles, guest speakers, celebrate World Book Day, and off-site trips.

Other Details
This qualification enables students to be employed as a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner. Other employment opportunities that are open to students include, a nanny, a family support worker, a playworker, and a children’s holiday representative. Students could also progress to other qualifications such as the T Level in Early Years Educator or an apprenticeship.
