We offer business courses that cover all you need to know about the commercial world, from retail to business start-up, including invaluable work experience in the local business community. As you progress through to Level 4 higher education courses, you’ll learn the vital skills needed to kick start a career in business.
We offer apprenticeships and advanced apprenticeships in subjects such as business administration, business management level 3, customer service and team leading. The Apprenticeship route allows will allow you flexibility to progress with your career gain qualification as and still experience fast pace of the commercial business world.
We also offer ILM coaching qualifications suitable for managers to help organisations create a workplace environment of empowered individuals.
I didn’t achieve what I wanted to do at my old college, but Shrewsbury College has helped me get the grades I needed to progress, taking me from a D and 3 Us at A Level to 3 Distinction stars. I’m going on to do a Business Industrialisation higher apprenticeship at Airbus in Broughton, which will enable me to go to university whilst getting paid.
Whilst studying with us, students can experience real courtroom drama, get involved with planning and organising charity events to fund raise, participate in Dragon’s Den at Shrewsbury Town FC and enter the Young Enterprise UK programme.
Past students have gone on to secure management roles with Caterpillar and American Golf, a placement on Next’s Management Programme and on the training programme with Jaguar Landrover. Some students have gone on to successfully set up their own business.
