Pottery - Throwing (Intermediate)

This is an intermediate 6 week throwing course geared towards students who can already throw and want to refine their skills.  

During the course the tutor will provide group demonstrations and individual support, to ensure learners can work at their own level and pace. The course will provide a creative space to practice and develop your pottery skills and help you learn how to throw different shaped forms.  

You will need to have:-

• Some basic previous experience of throwing 
• A keen interest in ceramics

This 6 week throwing course will give you the knowledge and skills in using the throwing wheels to be able to create more varied and advanced ceramic vessels shapes.  

Each student will have their own dedicated potters wheel to work on. 

The fee includes the cost of the clay you will use, firing and glazing.  

Please bring an overall/apron to use and suitable clothing and footwear to the sessions. 

There will be essential health and safety advice in the first week and ongoing instruction as required during the course. You are advised to arrive on time and to avoid missing any classes as the courses are structured to progress each week.
