What does the course involve?
This commercially recognised qualification provides students with a range of essential technical skills and knowledge, aiding them to seek employment or further training within the beauty industry.
Students will gain knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology, as well as important health and safety procedures. We’ll support students to develop the skills they will need to consult with clients whilst providing beauty treatments.
This course also includes enrichment opportunities (in addition to your qualification) to enhance employability skills and meet industry trends. These may include workshops in gel polish, eyelash extensions, and brow lamination. Work experience is a compulsory element of the course, providing realistic experience of working in the industry alongside classroom studies. Students will be required to work on peers and the general public.
The course covers:
• Manicure treatments
• Pedicure treatments
• Nail art services
• Make-up application
• Eyebrow shaping
• Lash and brow tinting
• Lash lifting

Our expert teachers will guide students to develop communication and customer service skills, commercial skills, and an awareness of environmental sustainability, all of which are valued highly by employers. We’ll also help students gain problem solving, team working and research skills throughout the course. This is a challenging course, so students will need high levels of self-motivation and a strong commitment to study. Students must be willing to work as part of a team as well as independently. Students should be punctual, reliable and enjoy working with people.
