Student will be supported on their journey at Shrewsbury College by our dedicated staff on a pathway that aims to empower them to move forward with clarity and confidence into their chosen future.

There are no formal entry requirements as you work at your own level. We will assess suitability at application and interview.

What does the course involve?
The course aims to develop students’ confidence, self-esteem and general wellbeing and prepares them for college life. The core components of the programme include study skills, creative wellbeing, English and Maths and enrichment. Students will have access to a range of professionals as part of their programme, which will include developing their longer-term career plans. Students will achieve a personal development qualification.

Students will produce a portfolio of assessed work throughout the course.

Progression in Transition Pathway
This course is a springboard to college life. It will give students the essential skills they need to progress onto an appropriate college course, employment, a Supported Internship, or an apprenticeship of their choosing. Flexible start dates are available on all Preparation Routes courses. -
Other Details
Students on our Transition Pathway will undertake functional skills in English and Maths and will also partake in creative wellness sessions. Flexible start dates are available. Students can progress on to College Ready, a vocational pathway, Supported Internship and DFN Project
