Develop and understand the industrial knowledge required for Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHE-Q), alongside legislation and industry standards. Train in a live working environment, with practical experience and application. Links to engineering, retail, wholesale, farming & land management.

  • What will the apprentice be doing?

    No two days are ever the same, ranging from welding and fabrication activities to the movement and handling of livestock, and everything in between.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Reviewing risk assessments and policies, ensuring they are correctly implemented across operations
    • Conducting in-house audits and spot inspections to maintain safety and compliance standards
    • Working with external bodies to demonstrate compliance and ensure organisational practices meet required standards and regulations
    • Preparing training sessions and developing training materials to deliver to a wide and varied audience
  • Training and Qualification

    Safety, Health and Environment Technician Level 3.

    You will be based on the Shrewsbury College London Road campus one day a week, with the remainder of the working week based in the workplace.
