An online Welcome Talk for parents and carers of all students starting at Shrewsbury College in September.

Join our Principal, James Staniforth, and Vice Principal for Students, Steve McAlinden, for a warm welcome.

  • Discover what will be taking place on the student Welcome Days; 24 June and 1 July
  • Find out what will be expected of your young people when they start
  • Learn how you can best support them in their studies
  • See what additional learning and finance support we can provide

There will also be an online live Q&A facility where you can pose questions to our expert finance, admissions, and support teams behind the scenes and get instant replies.

If you are unable to make the live event, you can still register for access as we will be making the talk available on-demand, via the same access link, as soon as the live stream finishes.

This livestream is for parents and carers of applicants joining the college in September. An invitation to request a joining link will be sent to parents' email addresses by Friday 29 May.

"Studying higher education at Shrewsbury College gave real value as the tutors’ stories about their experiences helped to contextualise course materials. Now I’m exploring a top-up year or a higher-level apprenticeship, with the goal of teaching others after gaining industry experience. My advice to new students is to stay organised, but don’t over-focus on just one area.”
