How is the Course Assessed?

All assessments in the revised qualification will be computer based assessments (CBAs). CBAs are an up to date method of assessment that directly reflect the practical tasks that you currently perform or will be performing in the workplace. CBAs offer you greater flexibility. You can take these assessments as and when you are ready and with the agreement of your tutor. Also, as many CBAs can be marked automatically, you'll get a provisional result straight away - no more waiting for ten weeks for the results.

Additional Notes

If you have achieved at Level 3, you may be eligible for entry on to AAT Level 4 or Higher Level Apprenticeships, HND and/or a BA Degree. If you opt to take Level 4, you will become a fully qualified member when you have obtained one year's relevant accounting work experience after successfully completing Level 4. There is nothing to stop you progressing on to even higher accounting qualifications such as ACCA (Certified Accountancy), ACA (Chartered Accountancy) or CIMA (Cost and Management Accountancy). After Level 4 you will become more of a specialist.
