Are you interested in pursuing a career in counselling? Are you wondering if counselling is for you and do you want to understand more about the process, the theories and skills of counselling? Alternatively, you may be interested in personal development and want to learn more about yourself and how you have become the person you are as result of your experiences in life.

If this is you, then why not come along to our FREE Counselling Taster Evening where you will have the opportunity to meet our tutors, explore our courses and be introduced to the main elements of counsellor's training - counselling theories and approaches, personal development and skills practice. This Taster will also enable you to experience our teaching style and the environment that we offer here at Shrewsbury College.

Stage 4 of our Admissions process.

After submitting your application for the full time course of your choice (Stage 3) you will be invited to one of eight Group Interview events during the year. Your invitation to the event will be sent by email as soon as we have processed your application so please make sure we have your most up to date details when you apply.

On the day, after registering you attendance, you will be greeted by our Admissions team who will show a short video about joining Shrewsbury College and then, along with other students who have applied to your course, you will meet some of your tutors for a one to one chat on your future with us. This event is a required part of your application process in order to secure a place with us and we look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to Shrewsbury College.

College Merger Consultation: Public Meeting Clayton Hall, Shrewsbury College SY2 6PR

College Merger Consultation: Public Meeting

You can get involved in the proposed merger between Shrewsbury College, New College Telford and Shrewsbury Sixth Form College between 1 February and 4 March, 2016. The proposal is that New College Telford and Shrewsbury College would merge into Shrewsbury Sixth Form College, creating one large sixth form college group – but all three sites would remain. Links to further infomation on the merger proposal can be found below but there will be two public meetings, the first being held at Shrewsbury College on 22 February.  Anyone is welcome to attend but admission is by ticket only. Tickets can be obtained by contacting publicconsultation@ssfc.ac.uk, where a copy of the consultation document can also be obtained. If you cannot attend on 22 February there is another meeting on 24 February from 6pm to 7.30pm at The Whitehouse Hotel, Watling Street, Telford,TF1 2NJ.

Progress Evening London Road, SY2 6PR

Progress Review Evening

4.30pm - 7.30pm

For the parents/carers of all our students (excluding HE), this appointment based event is designed for you to review your student's progress at College. Each of our students has an Individual Learning Plan which they, along with tutors keep up to date, identifying aims and goals and making sure students are on track. Parents and guardians are encouraged to regularly contact College for information or with any concerns but this evening offers one of two fixed points (the other is in September for new intake) in the academic calendar to have a personal meeting with staff.

Students and their families will be contacted directly in the new year regarding the booking procedure.
