You are invited to a one day conference“Living, Loving, Learning and Belonging”... key ingredients for babies and young children’s emotional well-being

With Dr Jools Page from the University of Sheffield

Cost: £50, Reduced fee for pre school and nursery practitioners and childminders

CONFERENCE CONTENT
    A reflective journey into PSED with a particular focus on working with under three years
    Explore your understanding of this Prime Area of development:
        how well you promote it
        how positive your relationships are with children and their parents/carers
        how well you motivate the children in your care to learn and develop

The day will support you with the introduction of The Sustained Shared Thinking and Emotional Well-being (SSTEW) Scale, designed to consider some of the intentional and relational pedagogical strategies strongly associated with child outcomes. It considers practice that supports children aged between 2 and 5 years of age in developing skills in sustained shared thinking and emotional well-being as well as developing strong relationships, effective communication and aspects of self-regulation.

Start Event: your group interview day London Road, SY2 6PR

For full-time applicants. Students who have submitted an application form to College will be invited to one of the ten Start Events we will hold this year. This is a compulsory part of our application process and is an opportunity for students to speak to Tutors, view our facilities and find out more about the course they have chosen to study will us.

Invitation letters to this event will be sent to students soon after they apply.
