Spring Awakening is a rock musical with music by Ducan Sheik and a book and lyrics by Steven Sater; based on the controversial German play Awakening of Spring by Frank Wedekind which was banned in Germany for some time due to its frank portrayal of adult themes. The musical tells the story of a group of teenagers turbulent journey through adolescence. This musical contains scenes of an explicit nature and we would suggest that the show might not be suitable for people under the age of 15 years old. You will see excerpts from Cabaret and Spring Awakening, along with work created for this year’s collaborations with Attingham Park and The Severn Valley Railway. Interspersed with these will be examples of the best solo and ensemble work in singing, dancing and acting, showing student talent and achievement at all levels.
