Exclusive business courses on offer at Shrewsbury College
Shrewsbury College has been announced as the first FE College in Shropshire to achieve accreditation from the Association of Business Executives (ABE).
The new status means that the College are able to deliver a range of new courses in multiple management disciplines from September 2013.
“We are the first college in the county to be approved to deliver Level 4 and Level 5 ABE qualifications,” explained Assistant Principal at the College, Catherine Armstrong. “Students will have the opportunity to study a variety of themes including Marketing, Human Resources and Tourism. In 2014/15 we will expand the offer to include Level 6 and Level 7 options, which can help fast-track students at university.”
The courses will be housed in a new Business Centre at the College’s London Road campus, where students can study in a professional working environment.
“Whether you’re employed or looking for work, the ABE provides flexible professional business qualifications that help you gain the necessary skills to tackle work projects and situations more effectively,” said Catherine. “This in turn gives you the potential to earn promotion within your organisation or a platform from which to progress onto a Bachelors, Masters or MBA degree course around the world.”
“There’s never been a better time to have marketable skills,” Catherine concluded. “ABE qualifications allow you to get ahead of the competition and in an increasingly competitive job market, it is essential that you give yourself every chance to succeed.”
Changes to funding mean that some students will be eligible to study an ABE course for free. For more information, please call the Shrewsbury College Course Information Team on 01743 342342.
