Taster evenings will give insight into study

Shrewsbury College is encouraging young people to try a free taster evening next week and find out more about the full-time vocational courses on offer.

The advice comes as new, independent research by the Association of Colleges released on Friday, finds that parents admit they are struggling to give the right advice to prepare young people for the world of work.

“The tasters will run in a variety of subject areas throughout the week and are are designed to help pupils in Year 9 and 11 discover more about their options after school," said Charmian Turner, Marketing Manager at Shrewsbury College. "With fierce competition for jobs, a vocational course like those offered at Shrewsbury College, can help students gain the marketable skills they need to secure that dream career.”

There are still a few places remaining on the following tasters:

Electrical Installation
Carpentry & Joinery
Travel & Tourism
Music Technology
