Shrewsbury College are top of the form

Shrewsbury College of Arts and Technology has come out on top in newly released Government figures for post-16 colleges in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin.

The Level Three performance tables, which were published today by the Department for Education, listed Shrewsbury College as the highest placed public institution in the area for grade performance per entry.

“The statistics shows that the College is performing very well at Level Three, which is the same as A Level standard,” said Greg Molan, Principal at Shrewsbury College.

“The College has demonstrated progressive improvement over the last few years and is now more than 11 points ahead of any other like college in Shropshire.”

The performance tables represent results for 18 year old students completing A Level and equivalent study over the two years since leaving secondary education. Points are calculated according to the grades achieved and are averaged against A Level equivalent entries for the whole cohort.
