Distance Learning Courses
Two new free courses available from January 2018 via distance learning
- Certificate in Understanding Behaviour that Challenges gives insight into challenging behaviour and how to respond in an appropriate and supportive way. This course is particularly useful for those who work in an educational or health and social care setting
- Certificate in Falls Prevention Awareness is for anyone either supporting a family member, or working in health and social care with people who are at an increased risk of falling
A qualification could be what you need to improve your career prospects and get your ideal job, yet you may be unable to attend college on a regular basis.
Distance Learning with Shrewsbury College gives you more flexibility, allowing you to study where and when you want. All you need is commitment, as Distance Learning is not necessarily an easy option, especially if you are already working full-time. We offer specially prepared course materials, which combined with help and support from your subject tutor make your learning experience easily manageable.
Many courses have flexible start dates, so you can enrol at virtually any time during the year and each course’s length is dependent on the number of modules. You will have an individual study plan to help you to fit your studies into your daily lifestyle, allowing you to meet the deadlines for the submission of assignments, coursework and exams.
For further information or to enrol on a course telephone the Distance Learning team on 01743 342356 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be pleased to help. Alternatively, please complete the enquiry form below and we will contact you as quickly as possible.

After leaving school with minimal qualifications, returning to further education was a big undertaking for me, but Shrewsbury College gave me plenty of support. Working in a pharmacy is rewarding and taking the nutrition and health course has been the key to the job I love, giving me the knowledge and confidence to help others and make a difference.
