Student Achievements
UKMT Senior Maths Challenge
Four of our Maths students represented the college at Manchester University for the UKMT Senior Maths Challenge Competition. Competing against 16 other schools and colleges, they tackled three tough rounds. Bring on the next challenge!
Rugby Ambassadors of the Year
Two of our Rugby Ambassadors were awarded the Rugby Ambassadors of the Year Award for their outstanding work in the role over the 2024/25 season by the RFU England Colleges Committee.
Football Midlands Champions
Our male Football team are Midlands champions! After battling it out against 21 other teams, our squad came out on top and will proudly represent the Midlands at the AOC National Championships this April.
What happened on Campus?
Remembrance service
On Tuesday 11 November, we gathered across all three campuses, united to honour those who fought for us, with a ceremonial wreath placing, two-minute silence and performances from our students.
We extend a big thank you to Ted and our amazing Uniformed Services, Performing Arts, Music Production and Performance students for putting together such a moving service.
Christmas lights switch-on
Watching Shrewsbury Light up!
Shrewsbury's Christmas light switch-on was one we won’t forget. We were overwhelmed by the incredible turnout; you snapped up every last glow stick and candy cane before the countdown had even begun, ready to make The Square sparkle!
We hope everyone there had an amazing evening and felt the festive spirit. Another big thank you to the amazing staff and student helpers who made this happen. To read more about the light switch-on, read our news story!
Taster Days
We were delighted to host our Academic Taster Days this week and welcome so many enthusiastic Year 11 students into the college. It is fantastic to see such a great turnout and to watch students dive into their chosen subjects with real curiosity and energy. We hope everyone who joined us gained a genuine taste of what life as a Shrewsbury College student is like and left feeling even more excited about the possibilities that await them in September.

Join us for a magic-carpet ride of chaos, comedy, and wishes gone wonderfully wrong! Our wonderful Performing Arts students are performing in Shrewsbury College's very own pantomime - Aladdin! If you want to get into the Christmas spirit (and be thoroughly entertained), come and watch Aladdin!
