Work experience placements
Work experience placements are a great way for students to gain an insight into the workplace, develop employability skills and explore potential career paths. These short-term placements are flexible and can range from a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on the needs of your organisation and the student's course. Hosting a student is an opportunity to showcase your industry, support local young people and inspire the next generation of talent, all with the support of our Work Experience Team.
T Level industry placements
T Levels are technical qualifications designed with employers to develop the skills businesses need. Every T Level student completes a substantial industry placement, allowing employers to help shape future talent while benefiting from a motivated student in the workplace.
Most T Level students are required to complete a minimum of 315 hours in industry, with some programmes requiring longer placements. Placements can be arranged in a way that works for your business, including day release, block placements or a mixture of both.
T Level placements can be paid or unpaid. There is no requirement to pay students, although some employers choose to do so. Employers may also choose whether to contribute towards travel, lunch or equipment costs.
