As the summer term comes to an end, we wanted to let you know about a few things for the summer holiday to help you make the most of the break.
Key dates for you to note
Formal teaching ended on Thursday 9 July, for the summer term.
The Autumn Term begins on Tuesday 1 September, but please see below for additional information.
Students moving to Year 2 A Level and Year 2 Art courses
These students will be in college with an adjusted timetable on Tuesday 1 September, to start their second-year courses.
Students will then have work to complete independently from Wednesday to Friday while new Yr 1 students have a three-day induction to college.
Normal timetables will commence for everyone on Monday 7 September.
Year 2 vocational course students at the London Road Campus
All the Year 2 vocational courses at the London Road Campus will recommence the week starting Monday 7 September.
Students returning to college in Sept 2026 will have their timetables available from the beginning of September via the college app. We will keep you informed of the timings as we get closer to the start of the new term.
Students who are leaving the college this summer will see their college app deactivated by the start of the new term, once exam results/course outcomes have been released.
Other important dates for you
For students who have previously received a bursary, we would like to remind you that bursary applications must be resubmitted before September.
Submitting your application as soon as possible will mean your bursary will be secured for the start of the new term.

We would also like to remind you that all travel passes will need to be renewed for the new term.
Support over the summer
Please remember that you can access our Student Assistance Programme at any time to keep safe over the holidays.
- The Student Assistance Programme is provided by the college and gives you access to a 24/7 helpline staffed by BACP-accredited counsellors who can help you with a range of issues, including:
- Counselling and emotional support
- Safeguarding concerns
- Money management and debt support
- Personal legal information
- Medical information (available Monday to Friday, between 9 am and 5 pm)
The service is anonymous but includes a link to local safeguarding and emergency services where immediate action is needed to keep you safe.
You simply need to call 0800 028 37 66 to access this service.

Learning Resource Centres – Summer break
LRCs are open on Mondays and Wednesdays between 8.30 am and 3.30 pm at the following locations:

- w/c 3 August London Road Campus
- w/c 10 August English Bridge Campus
- w/c 17 August Welsh Bridge Campus
