The biggest business Start-up show ever staged in Shropshire

Enterprise Nation is set to host a local event at Shrewsbury College for start-up entrepreneurs as part of a UK wide show with audiences of thousands up and down the country.

StartUp 2016 is a free event with 300 tickets available for students and budding entrepreneurs of all ages from Telford & Shropshire to help them start the New Year in entrepreneurial style.

There will be keynote presentations by local entrepreneurs, information on accelerator schemes, Twitter training, advice on overseas trading, start-up finance, free website design and ‘Hot Seats’ available for attendees to gain professional development specific to their business at the event.

Officially launched by The Mayor of Shrewsbury, Councillor Miles Kenny, StartUp 2016 opens its doors at Clayton Hall, Shrewsbury College at 11am on Saturday, 16 January.

Attendees will be able to share in the success and gain start-up advice from local business founders who have their ventures based in both Telford & Shropshire and Shrewsbury College students will discover that becoming an entrepreneur is now the low-risk career choice with the UK economy moving fast towards a large part of the workforce being self-employed. 

Small businesses make up 95per cent of all businesses in this country with 2016 predicted to be a record-breaking year for new start-ups as people take advantage of increasing broadband access, low start-up costs and the vast amount of help for start-ups via Enterprise Nation.  

Enterprise Nation provides annual business support membership for small business owners and for delegates at STARTUP 2016 there is a half price offer at £15 which will buy a full year of benefits worth over £1000.
