What does the course involve?

The course will allow you to work at your own pace using a variety of mark making techniques and media, with the support of an experienced art and design tutor (many of our art and design tutors are practising artists). You will explore a variety of approaches to drawing.

Additional qualification

You may wish to progress to one of our Art and Design courses at either level 2 or level 3.

How is the course assessed?

The course is not assessed but regular feedback and guidance will be given to you/the group throughout the sessions.

Additional costs

All basic material will be supplied, if you progress on, you may wish to purchase your own drawing media, pencils or charcoal etc. plus eraser, masking tape paper/sketchbook etc

What do I do next?

Some of our courses may have entry qualifications and you may need to have an informal chat with the tutor to check it is appropriate for you - this will be clear in the Other Details area. You are able to enrol at the College in person or by phone on 01743 342333 between 9.00am-5.00pm Monday - Thursday and 9.00am-4.30pm on Friday. You can also enrol and chat to staff at our advice / enrolment events which happen throughout the year or use our Live Chat.

You will be required to pay your course fees at the time of enrolment, so please ensure that you bring an appropriate payment method with you, (as well as appropriate evidence if you are eligible to have any fees waived).
