What can I do when I’m not in lessons?
Many students use the town centre at lunch or after lessons, with cafés, shops and places to meet friends nearby.
Clubs and societies on campus are a great way to make friends, explore your interests, and get involved in college life, with opportunities to join student-led groups, support community projects, contribute to the student magazine, and take part in activities focused on culture, sustainability, debate, gaming, and more.
Our cross-campus Sports Academy is a great opportunity to represent Shrewsbury College in competitive fixtures, improve your skills, stay active and make new friends through football, rugby, hockey, volleyball, and netball.

English Bridge Campus is ideally located close to Shrewsbury town centre, giving students easy access to cafés, independent shops, restaurants, green spaces and cultural attractions. Nearby highlights include Abbey Gardens, Shrewsbury Abbey, and riverside walks along the River Severn.
It is also just a short walk from our English Bridge Campus, allowing many students to study subjects across both sites.
