A profession in accounting offers a wide range of career opportunities including auditing, consulting, corporate finance, tax planning, self-employment and much more.
We offer Level 2 to 4 Diplomas in Accounting (AAT), accommodating all skill levels from school leavers to business professionals and those seeking a change in career path. Each completion of an AAT Level is a qualification in its own right. Full completion of the Level 4 Diploma in Accounting and work experience will lead to membership of the Association of Accounting Technicians - MAAT).
Upon completion of Level 4, students can progress to Certified, Chartered and Cost and Management Accountancy qualifications.
I enrolled on the part-time AAT bookkeeping course as a very mature student and have found the teaching staff here superb. I would highly recommend this area of study as you get so much more life experience from industry trained teachers than you would from distance learning.
Many students have secured positions and promotions with local firms whilst others have continued to study higher level qualifications such as ACCA (Certified Accountancy), ACA (Chartered Accountancy) or CIMA (Cost and Management Accountancy) and university degrees. Past students have also embarked on a variety of careers including auditing, consulting, corporate finance, tax planning whilst some opt to be self-employed.
