Students to raise money for Save the Children Charity

Hairdressing students from Shrewsbury College will be offering hair treatments for clients to raise money in aid of the charity, Save the Children, on Thursday 15 December.

Save the Children first formed in 1919 and last year raised nearly £130 million in donations and legacies. Save the Children works in more than 120 countries, including the UK - saving children’s lives, fighting for their rights and helping them fulfil their potential.

Around 30 students ranging from Level 1 – 3 in Hairdressing will offer a choice of two hair treatments - conditioning treatment and blow-dry - for £5 and a ‘glossing service’ and blow-dry which promises to refresh colour and add shine, for £7.50.

Limited spaces are available, but the general public is invited to book appointments by calling 01743 342667 or visit the Hair & Beauty Training Academy Reception at Shrewsbury College on London Road, SY2 6PR.
