What does the course involve?
The course will provide students with the practical and academic skills required for the industry and covers all the major cooking methods required in a professional kitchen environment. Our expert teachers will guide students through techniques such as boiling, poaching, steaming, grilling, roasting, and baking. Students will also study food safety awareness, and engage in restaurant activities such as table theatre and customer service. Students will be required to work in our award-winning kitchen which will help them develop their employability skills.

How is the course assessed?
There are eight graded practical tests throughout the year to assess cooking skills and a final summary exam in pastry and savoury.
