Entry requirements

The course is suitable for students were are 19 years old and over.

What does the course involve?

The main aim of the qualification is to develop your knowledge of the role of cabin crew. You will gain an understanding of airline health, safety and security. You'll learn how to respond to planned and unplanned emergencies on board aircraft and you'll learn how to deal with all types of passengers on board aircraft. You'll also learn how to sell products and services to passengers and make passenger announcements on board aircraft.

How is the course assessed?

You can expect to be involved in formal learning activities which could include classes, tutorials or seminars, practical activities to support skills development and assessment activities. This is a knowledge-based qualification and you can expect to be assessed within a classroom setting with the option of your skills being assessed in a realistic working environment (RWE).

This qualification provides the underpinning knowledge necessary to be able to work as a cabin crew member and may support your entry to employment.
