You will cover: camera control basics including exposure and focusing; the use of composition tools and the value of understanding appropriate lighting. An introduction will be made to the basics of image processing.

You will cover: the SLR camera and its controls, focal length, prime lenses, zoom lenses, shutter speeds, apertures, depth of field, film speed, colour temperature, filters, composition and lighting. There will also be one session on image manipulation for photographers with Adobe Photoshop or PaintShop Pro.

How is the course assessed?

No formal assessment, however one to one and group guidance will be given by the tutor on how to improve and get better results over the course.
