This course is for a person who is required to look after electrical equipment in any commercial, industrial, hotel, leisure or educational establishment.

What does the course involve?

The course will cover: The requirements for producing an electrical installation condition report. The inspection process and tests required to confirm an existing installation is safe to use and the process and codes to apply if it is not safe.

How is the course assessed?

Written exam, On-line multiple choice exam and practical assessment.

Students will have to purchase the following book: ISBN 978-0-08341-833-4 Codes of Practice for In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment - 3rd Edition The Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Electricity at Work Regulation 1989, along with other legislation, state that all electrical equipment is required to be properly maintained so as to prevent danger. Inspections and tests are necessary.
