Hairdressing has always been in the back of my mind as a career. I wanted something creative and challenging and it is really both those things. But I didn’t know how to pursue it until I saw an advertisement in a local newspaper for a Shrewsbury College open evening and went along. The staff explained the Apprenticeship route to me and I was very interested. But at that stage I didn’t have the job you need to be an Apprentice and they were even able to help me with that.
