Second Chance Literacy & Numeracy
Free courses for adults who wish to improve their functional skills in English and Maths and don’t already hold a Level 2 (GCSE Grade C) or above qualification in English or Maths. Enhance your employment prospects, add qualifications to your CV and gain confidence in supporting your children with their English and Maths. We’ll support you in developing your skills and improving your confidence as you study at your own pace on a personal learning programme. The course runs on Mondays 12:00noon-2:30pm, Wednesdays 5:30pm-8.00pm and Thursdays 11:00am-1:30pm. For more information please ring 01743 342333.
Have fun learning a new hobby or developing skills with our great range of leisure courses. Taught in our fully modernised workshops and studios by experienced professionals, we offer courses in Arts and Crafts, DIY, IT, Therapies, Music and much more.
We work with the country’s top awarding bodies to deliver professional qualifications in all fields. Courses are taught by industry experts and accredited by ABC, AQA, AAT, ILM and CACHE, to name but a few. We offer a range of full-time Higher Education courses alongside part-time options which allow you to work while you study. Costs are considerably lower than the average university fees and the savings on travel offer a low cost, high quality option. Explore our full range of courses here.
These education and training programmes are aimed at 16-24 year olds who are not currently in employment. They include work experience to give you the skills and experience that employers are looking for and to help you progress to suitable employment or an Apprenticeship. Traineeships also include work preparation training including CV writing, interview preparation and interpersonal skills to enhance your employability.
