Manu Bazzano to attend day seminar at Shrewsbury College


Manu Bazzano, existential person-centred psychotherapist writer and ordained Zen Buddhist monk will be the guest speaker at a one day seminar and experiential workshop, ‘Immanent Vitality: The Actualizing Tendency’ at Shrewsbury College.

Shrewsbury College is excited to be hosting the first of what they hope will be many CPD seminars and Bazzano, Author of Spectre of the Strange:  towards a phenomenology of hospitality, and Editor of After Mindfulness: new Perspectives on Psychology said, ”I feel happy to play a part in this”.

The CPD is aimed at Trainee Counsellors, Counsellors, Supervisors and anyone interested in exploring the human potential and is part of a brand new Life-talk Centre:  a counselling facility for the general public based at the Main Campus on London Road.

Helen Orton, Curriculum Leader for Care & Counselling said, ‘‘our aim is to provide good quality CPD for Counsellors in the local area. It is a real coup to have someone of Manu’s calibre coming to talk to our students and fellow counselling professionals.’’

The seminar will run from 10am until 4pm on Saturday November 16th at Shrewsbury College, London Road. A small fee of £55 is required. Places will be limited so anyone keen to attend should contact the College.

Shrewsbury College run a variety of part time Counselling courses from level 2 up to level 6. There is a 10 week ABC Certificate in Counselling Skills Level 2 course starting on Wednesday 9 October and there other courses starting in January.
