College able to offer helping hand to adult learners
People who are aged 24 or over and want to study at Levels 3 and 4 or for Advanced and Higher Level Apprenticeships, can now apply for a loan to pay for their course.
The Skills Funding Agency (SFA) and Student Loans Company (SLC) have worked closely with the further education sector to develop 24+ Advanced Learning Loans. The new loans will operate on the same basis as higher education loans, with no repayment until the student has finished their course and is earning above £21,000.
“It’s never too late to learn,” said Marketing Manager at Shrewsbury College, Charmian Turner. "24+ Advanced Learning Loans will provide great opportunities for those over 24, to gain qualifications that provide access to better jobs and future careers.”
“Shrewsbury College teaches a wide range of courses at a variety of levels. Find out if you are eligible to study here for free by calling our Course Information Team on 01743 342342.”
