Onesie day is a fundraising success
Penguins, Superman and onesie-clad students were spotted roaming the grounds of Shrewsbury College yesterday in a bid to raise vital funds for charity.
Performing Arts students from the College donned their onesies and raised more than £130 for Pancreatic Cancer Action.
Level 3 Extended Diploma student Charlie Dean, who coordinated the day, said: “Thank you to everyone who helped us raise money for a truly worthy cause.”
Pancreatic cancer, despite being the 5th commonest cause of cancer death in the UK, receives only 1% of overall research funding. Pancreatic Cancer Action are working hard to increase the overall level of funding for pancreatic cancer so the condition can be better known, better understood and better treated.
