College awarded member status

Shrewsbury College has been accepted as a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), officials announced today.

The Association sets, promotes and maintains the standards for the profession and participates in the development of counselling and psychotherapy at an international level.

“We are delighted to be accepted as a member of the BACP,” said Chris Pemberton, Shrewsbury College’s Head of School for Service Industries. “The College teaches counselling qualifications at a variety of levels and our membership status will enable students and prospective employers to benefit from a level of excellence that is recognised throughout the profession.”
