Art students show their flair

A display of creative work by Shrewsbury art students was launched last night with a private viewing attended by family and friends.

Shrewsbury College’s annual End of Year Art Show is now open to the public at the London Road School of Art. The free exhibition is available to view today [Friday 15 June] from 4-6pm, Saturday 16 June from 10am – 4pm, and Monday 18 – Thursday 21 June from 10am – 4pm.

“The exhibition is all about the notion of ‘Curiosity,’” said Programme Leader for Art & Design, Hugh Sanders. “I think that if you are creative you are naturally curious about the world and our students have expressed this through textiles, furniture making, film and animation, fine art, photography and much more.”

“We have students exhibiting who have gained places at Universities such as the London College of Fashion, University College Falmouth and Chelsea School of Art, which I think reflects the standard of work on show,” he said.
