College offer green-fingered courses

Two Shrewsbury College part-time courses will start next week for green fingered enthusiasts who want to learn how to grow their own plants and produce.

The ‘Gardening all Year Round - Late Spring’ programme will start at on Monday 19 March at the College’s London Road campus from 6.30 – 9pm. The four week long course will teach students a variety of plant raising techniques and give them an understanding of propagation for indoor and outdoor plants.

A second course called ‘Kitchen Gardens’ will commence on Wednesday 21 March for those who want to grow their own fruit and vegetables. The four week long course will be held at Church Stretton School from 6.30 – 9pm and will teach students the skills and knowledge they need to grow their own fruit, vegetables, herbs and salads.
