Erica Coppinger, Salon Manager
I have previously worked as a trainer for a professional skincare company covering the North of the UK, southern Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey and Cyprus. After three years of visiting many spas and salons around the world I am now putting all my knowledge from the industry into practice at Evolve!
We offer a full-range of hair and beauty treatments performed by industry professionals, offering competitive prices within the local area. I am thrilled with the team which we have in place, with an excellent combined skill-set and experience. Many treatment packages are available and we are teaming up with Origins Restaurant, to offer packages combining treatments with afternoon tea and lunch for a truly indulgent experience.
Steve Thompson, Senior Hair Stylist
I have been hairdressing for 24 years, 10 years of this I spent in Australia. In that time I gained lots of experience from managing and starting up new salons, in both barbering and ladies hairdressing. My last place of work was at ‘Jimmy Trims Barber Shop’, a really cool, retro barber shop. Before that I worked at a very upmarket ladies’ salon called ‘Lisa Shepherd’. Lisa was a celebrity hairdresser made famous by her work on the Channel 4 show 10 Years Younger.
Evolve is a fantastic new salon and I am really happy to be a part of it. I also want get involved in training as I hold the Level 3 and Assessor Qualification in hairdressing. Eventually I would like to do the qualifications to become a hairdressing lecturer while working in the professional salon and alongside Wella.
Lauren Speake, Beauty Therapist
I am enjoying my experience at Evolve, it is an amazing opportunity for me to be a member such a lovely team of therapists and stylists and it is an achievement to be working in such a beautiful, classic salon. I joined Level 2 Beauty Therapy at Shrewsbury College after leaving Secondary School and developed my skills and techniques further on the Level 3 Advanced Beauty Therapy, gaining further specialisms through a Nail Enhancement Diploma. To gain real world experience I worked in a Salon called Beauty By Sarah for 16 months, where I took part in the BABTAC Awards and I did extra training to further my skills.
I’m currently studying on the HNC in Beauty Management which involves deeper investigations into the practical and theoretical sides to beauty, which I love as I thrive off learning new skills and techniques. My favourite treatment is massage because it is a relaxing and therapeutic experience for the client and I gain a lot of satisfaction knowing that people can benefit from my expertise.
Leah Heathfield, Hair Stylist & Beauty Therapist
I am a Level 2 qualified hairdresser and beauty therapist. I studied this qualification at Shrewsbury College, as a full-time student and really enjoyed the experience as I got to work with real clients and put my professional side to the test!
I am glad to be a part of the team and I am ready to further my career with the Level 3 hairdressing course, hopefully becoming a senior stylist. I enjoy both hair and beauty and am delighted I am offering treatments and services in both areas.
Zori Jeffries, Hair Stylist
I began my career in hairdressing 18 years ago after completing my master’s degree in hairdressing. Whilst owning and managing a hair salon in Bulgaria, I decided to expand my knowledge, skills and techniques and by doing so came first place in six hair up competitions.
As an artistic director and coach in Schwarzkopf I gained international experience, which I hope to use at Evolve, passing on my skills through hair up workshops. I also want to take my career to the next level by progressing onto an assessor course.
Lucy Davis, Beauty Therapist
I have always been interested in beauty therapy, so I began my Level 2 beauty course at Shrewsbury College, which introduced me to Evolve. Work experience at Evolve has been invaluable, giving me the knowledge, skills and confidence to further my career. I am now studying my Level 3 beauty course, have gained my Lash Perfect eyelash extension qualification and am working part-time at Evolve.
I began my journey in hairdressing 18 years ago and I am very passionate about hairdressing, especially being able to make my clients feel confident about themselves and their hair. I am a qualified assessor, I am also qualified in teaching further education, which helps me to see students progress in a different light. Being an assessor gives me the opportunity to watch my apprentices learn the skills and techniques needed to become experienced hairdressers. In the future I want to study beauty therapy and put my skills to the test.
Olivia Barnes, Hair Stylist
I have just started my Level 2 hair apprenticeship at Evolve. I am really enjoying working in a busy, professional environment alongside such a lovely, hardworking team. As an enthusiastic learner I am looking forward to progressing onto the Level 3 hairdressing course through Shrewsbury College and developing my skills further.
