Engineering and Automotive Centre re-launch: Taster Session London Road, SY2 6PR

Engineering Taster Event

(for pupils in Years 7, 8 and 9)

11.30am to 2pm

On 18 May we are formally re-opening our Engineering and Construction Centre after being awarded significant financial investment in equipment and facilities by the Marches Local Enterprise Partnership.

As part of a series of events to mark the day, we would like to invite schools and pupils to an Engineering Taster Session. As well as finding out how our combined investment of £7500,000 has been used, the session will include hands-on activities in welding and virtual welding, robotics, machining metals, 3D printing and our famous SC Pit-Stop Challenge! This is a fantastic opportunity for your pupils to access STEM and IAG related activities in a purpose-built, industry-standard environment, as well as getting a feel for life at college. Lunch will be included in the session as well as an optional tour of our London Road campus.

To book please email Events with how many pupils you would like to bring and what year they are in and any specific dietary requirements. Places will be offered on a first come, first served basis and we do expect this event to be busy.
