Descartes Restaurant in Shrewsbury is a modern fine dining experience, with a touch of classical influence.
Descartes Restaurant is the Shrewsbury College's commercially run licensed restaurant, giving students the valuable opportunity to work in a professional environment which reflects industry trends and requirements. Training in the restaurant enhances the student's knowledge and skills base, enabling them to progress to a career in the hospitality and catering industry.
The restaurant is student led, supported by qualified and experienced professionals, employing student's knowledge of the principles of cookery, compatibility of flavours, food service and complimentary wines - all to make your meal at Descartes an enjoyable experience.
Times and prices
Lunches are available Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, with orders taken between 12.15-12.45pm. 3 Courses at £6.95 (Not including coffee).
Dinners are available Wednesday evenings, with orders taken between 6.45-7.15pm. 5 Courses at Dinner £17.95 (Not including coffee).
