In addition to your main programme of study you will receive English Language support, help with finding home stay accommodation and career guidance to ensure smooth progression to higher education.

Student Visa Requirements
In order to qualify to come to the UK as a student you must show that you intend to study and have been accepted for an appropriate course at the college. You must also show that you are able to meet the cost of your course and maintain and accommodate yourself and any dependants without working or asking for public funds and that you intend to leave the UK when you finish your studies.
If you are a visa-national and intend studying in the UK you must apply for a student visa before arriving in the UK. If you enter on a visitor's visa you will have to return to your country to apply for a student visa as you cannot change your status in the UK.

English Language Courses
You need IELTS level 5, TOEFL 500 (173 CBT) or equivalent to follow a BTEC National Diploma, an AVC or lower level courses. You need IELTS 6, TOEFL 550 (213 CBT), First Certificate with A or B grade to follow a Higher National Diploma, Degree or professional course. Please ask at your nearest British Council offices for details of how to take these examinations in your country.
If you do not have these language entry requirements, we recommend that you enrol on the full-time English as a Foreign Language course first to prepare you for further study.

Accommodation
We recommend that students new to the UK live in accredited home-stay accommodation for at least the first few weeks in order to settle and become accustomed to the area. We can help to find home-stay accommodation within easy travelling distance of the College.

The annual fees for 2011/12 are listed below (includes non-returnable deposit of £210 for full-time courses). The fees are generally paid at enrolment. You will be required to send the deposit of £210 with your completed application form.
