Entry requirements

There are formal entry requirements and it is expected that students would have passed the AAT Level 3 Accounting course or some other recognised finance / accounting based qualification.

What does the course involve?

To pass the module, you will need to complete 1 external exam. The exam will be computer based.

  • Computing trading income
  • Capital Allowances
  • Taxing Unincorporated business
  • Partnerships
  • Computing taxable profits and corporation tax
  • Losses
  • National Insurance
  • Chargeable gains, including reliefs and Share Disposals
  • Self-assessments
  • How is the course assessed?

    As we only take small groups there is the time and scope to support and encourage everyone.

    Additional notes

    Each student will be assigned a personal tutor and tutorial time will be included in the programme when such issues as: careers advice; course difficulties; personal problems etc. can be discussed.Progression Bonus: Christmas 2017
    Any existing student who progresses onto a higher level course with us in September 2017 and remains on the course until December 2017 will receive a £200 bonus. *assuming there is a progression route from your course.

    What do I do next?

    Some of our courses may have entry qualifications and you may need to have an informal chat with the tutor to check it is appropriate for you - this will be clear in the Other Details area. You are able to enrol at the College in person or by phone on 01743 342333 between 9.00am-5.00pm Monday - Thursday and 9.00am-4.30pm on Friday. You can also enrol and chat to staff at our advice / enrolment events which happen throughout the year or use our Live Chat.

    You will be required to pay your course fees at the time of enrolment, so please ensure that you bring an appropriate payment method with you, (as well as appropriate evidence if you are eligible to have any fees waived).

    If you are aged 19 or over you may have to pay some tuition fees.
